Chronic Dev team has just released greenpois0n Absinthe to jailbreak iPhone 4S and iPad 2.

In this guide, we will take you through the step by step procedure to jailbreak iPhone 4S running iOS 5.0.1 or iOS 5 using Absinthe.

A new unlock method has surfaced today which claims to work without the need of any software, hardware or jailbreak.

A bug in iOS 5 discovered by Michael Capozzi theoretically allows any iPhone 4S to be unlocked to any GSM carrier. However, Capozzi says he was only able to test with T-Mobile.
We are currently working towards independent confirmation of his method. It does require you to have an active T-Mobile SIM card (with data working). Remember it must be cut to micro-SIM size to fit the iPhone 4S.

If you have updated your iOS device [iPhone 4, iPhone 3G[S], iPad, iPad 2, iPod Touch] you will notice there is not much of a change in the 4.3.5 release except ‘exploit fixes’ in the pdfs that allowed sites like Jailbreakme.com to work. So with that being said, THIS IS A TETHERED JAILBREAK. Meaning any time you need to turn off your device for any reason, you will need to boot with a jailbreak program on your cpu.
